Unzip your dowloaded pkb22.zip file into any directory of your
choice, and run the pkb.exe file. Then you will be able to enter the name of your first Data
Base.
Once you press the Open button, the following main window will show up:
Go to the Ref: text field and enter the title of your first document.
You can optionally enter a document category in the Cat: field. The
lower large area will blank, and you can write or paste any text on it. You
can also include some link pointer in the Links field if you want.
Then press the Add button. You will get the below window, and
this is how it will appear next time you call the program. It will show a
listing of your added documents.
Now lets say you want to search through your Data Base. Simply enter a
keyword in the Ref: field.
The listing will blank again, but, this time, instead of adding a new
document, press the Find button.
The listing will now include all the documents containing that keyword.
If you now click in a document title, it will immediately show up.
Eventually, you can modify or delete it.
This just was a small part of PKB functionality. Please play with the
program and review the User's
Guide for all details.
